This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Burn Timer mobile application, the Burn Timer website, and related services collectively referred to as “Burn Timer” or the “App.”
Burn Timer is developed and operated by PM EXPERT COMPAMY DOO, Vuka Karadžića br. 5, 81000 Podgorica, Montenegro (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
Privacy at a glance
Burn Timer does not require an account and does not operate its own backend for storing your focus activity.
Your timer history, settings, statistics, Focus Tags, Sparks, Sky progress, theme selections, and other focus-related information are stored locally on your device.
Your focus data stays on your device.
The free version may display Google advertising.
No ads, no Mobile Ads initialization, no ATT request.
The free version of Burn Timer may display advertising provided by Google. When advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising technologies may process certain device, advertising, usage, and diagnostic information.
Burn Timer Pro does not display advertising. For Pro users, the Google Mobile Ads SDK is not initialized and Burn Timer does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
Information stored locally on your device
Burn Timer may store the following information locally:
- timer settings and session preferences;
- focus-session history;
- Pomodoro settings and progress;
- Focus Tags;
- focus statistics and date-range selections;
- Sparks and Sky progression;
- selected themes and appearance settings;
- Quiet Mode settings;
- app preferences;
- purchase-entitlement status received through Apple.
This information remains on your device and is not uploaded to an account or to a Burn Timer-operated server.
Local information may be removed if you delete Burn Timer, reset or replace your device, clear its storage, or use an in-app deletion function where one is available.
We cannot recover locally stored information after it has been deleted.
Advertising in the free version
The free version of Burn Timer may display banner advertisements and optional rewarded advertisements through Google Mobile Ads.
Rewarded advertisements may allow a free user to access a Pro theme for a limited purpose, such as the next focus session.
Advertising is shown only when:
- the user does not have active Burn Timer Pro access;
- advertising has not been disabled globally through Firebase Remote Config;
- applicable consent requirements have been completed; and
- the App is permitted to request advertising.
When these conditions are not met, Burn Timer does not request an advertisement.
Information processed by Google Mobile Ads
When Google Mobile Ads is active, Google may automatically process information such as:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate a device’s general location;
- device identifiers, including the advertising identifier where permission is available;
- advertising data, such as advertisements displayed or viewed;
- interactions with advertisements and other product interactions;
- app launch, tap, and video-view information;
- crash logs and diagnostic information;
- performance information such as launch time, hang rate, and energy usage;
- device, operating-system, app, and SDK information.
Google may use this information for advertising, ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security, diagnostics, and improvement of its services.
The information processed may vary according to your location, consent choices, Apple privacy settings, Google configuration, and the type of advertisement being displayed.
Google acts as an independent provider for parts of this processing and handles information in accordance with its own privacy policies.
Consent and privacy choices
Where required, Burn Timer uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (“UMP”) to request and manage advertising consent.
The UMP process occurs before Burn Timer requests advertisements. Burn Timer checks whether advertising may be requested based on the consent status provided by UMP.
Depending on your country or region, you may be shown a privacy message describing available advertising choices.
Where required by Google or applicable law, Burn Timer provides a Privacy Choices entry in the App’s Settings. You can use it to review or change advertising-consent choices.
Your choices may be stored on your device and communicated to Google so that Google can apply them to advertising requests.
App Tracking Transparency and personalized advertising
When advertising is enabled for a free user, Burn Timer may request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (“ATT”) framework.
ATT permission allows the use of Apple’s advertising identifier and other permitted data for tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies. This may be used for personalized advertising and advertising measurement.
- the device’s advertising identifier may be included in advertising requests;
- Google may use permitted information to personalize advertisements;
- information from Burn Timer may be linked with information from other apps, websites, or third-party sources for advertising or measurement purposes.
- Burn Timer does not receive permission to access the advertising identifier for tracking;
- Google Mobile Ads does not include the IDFA in its advertising requests;
- personalized advertising based on the IDFA is disabled;
- limited or non-personalized advertisements may still be displayed;
- Google may still process technical, contextual, diagnostic, security, and advertising information that does not require ATT permission.
You can change ATT permission at any time in:
Disabling tracking does not necessarily disable all advertisements or all data processing associated with limited or non-personalized advertising.
Burn Timer Pro
Burn Timer Pro removes advertising.
When active Pro entitlement is confirmed:
- the Google Mobile Ads SDK is not initialized;
- Burn Timer does not request advertisements;
- Burn Timer does not request ATT permission;
- Google does not receive advertising requests from Burn Timer.
Apple may still process purchase and entitlement information as described in Section 9, and Firebase Remote Config may still process the limited technical information described below.
Firebase Remote Config
Burn Timer uses Firebase Remote Config, provided by Google, to retrieve limited configuration values, including whether advertising should be enabled or disabled globally.
Firebase Remote Config may process technical information such as:
- device country code;
- device language code;
- time zone;
- operating-system version;
- Firebase Apple application ID;
- Burn Timer bundle identifier;
- Firebase SDK version;
- limited app and platform information included in the Firebase user agent.
This information is used to deliver configuration values, maintain the service, understand SDK adoption, and support technical operation.
Burn Timer does not use Firebase Analytics and does not use Remote Config for behavioral analytics or advertising profiling.
Firebase Privacy and Security documentationPurchases and subscriptions
Burn Timer Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
Apple may process information including:
- your Apple Account;
- payment and billing information;
- purchase history;

Burn Timer receives only the transaction and entitlement information needed to determine whether Pro access is active and to restore eligible purchases.

Purchases, subscriptions, billing, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
Apple Privacy PolicyNotifications and system features
